So I finally found a bus stop and I hopped on the 502, hoping I would get to the Sophienhof on time. I was in luck - 4:02. I found the sisters but couldn't understand either of their names, so we went to the pool (getting onto the bus), going exactly where I had just been. I had them do the transaction to pay to get into the pool since I didn't know what to say. We talked about differences between countries, and I discovered the reason I couldn't understand them was because they were from Iceland or something. The pool was col and boring, so we treaded water on the side. I accidentally kicked water into this lady's face - who, I had noticed earlier, obviously wanted to keep her hair dry. Whoops. We giggled every time she went by, because she had a mean look on her face and she gave us a wide berth after that. Finally we got out and the more blond sister let me use her shampoo in the shower room, where there was a naked Chinese lady. Weird! Why would you do that? Then we went to the library and they helped me ask about The Hiding Place in German. They didn't have it, but the librarian gave me a form to fill out so they could consider ordering it. I know how that goes. At least with the Salt Lake County system, it takes a while. Then we checked our email and I typed in my blog. When we got on the bus, I had them write down their names so I could say them (and their numbers). Their names are Kaia and Kaie. They are twins. I told them how I was always thirsty because of the lack of drinking fountains, so we went to a store and bought juice. Then they said that while I was in Germany, I had to have a Döner. It's a Turkish gyro-type thingy in half a loaf of thick French bread stuff. MMMMMMM. I drunk most of the juice too. They showed me which phone card to buy and where to buy stamps and where to send letters, and then I went home and met my hostdad. He is very nice. His accent is more British than the rest fo his family. He asked if I was Mormon and said he met some Mormon students who had come over to convince others to be Mormons (missionaries). He kept saying it was no fun to not drink and smoke. I said it was healthy. I don't think my hostsister or hostmom knew what we were talking about. Then I called home (I offered to use my new phone card, but he said no.) Amy was learning to cut Paul's hair. She said Mom's hairdo by Annie Michelle cost $91! My goodness. Then I tried to call Matt but couldn't figure out the card. I watched the movie of my host family's trip with them - they went to New York, Cape Cod, Philadelphia, D.C., etc, and I said, "Wow, now I don't even need to see my own capital. I've seen it all."
