Matt took me to get my allergy shots yesterday, and then we drove down State Street looking for cars, and I told him to pull over to look at a red jetta (I have my heart set on a Jetta, but I don't really want red!). I looked inside, and it was an automatic. BLECH! I don't like or want an automatic. So, I turned around, and there, in the midst of many other cars, was a black one in good shape! It was a manual! The guy came out and told us about it and we started it up and it had a sun roof and the AC works and pretty much it just looked cute! It was just what I wanted, and his price sounded okay - alright, great compared to what I have been hearing from others. I asked him about accidents and its history - all clear. We told him we'd be back "tomorrow afternoon". Today Matt picked me up from school and we had time to kill, so we went to the new city library - huge, cool, but not very welcoming. Anyway, then we had 23 minutes on the parking meter still so we walked to Lollicup and he got a Hawaiian Smoothie, and I got a Pineapple Peach with Boba. It was great, although his was better. Then we went to the dealer (called the Auto Depot, and the logo looks like he just changed "Home" to "Auto") and he said we were late and I apologized and we got the car and drove to the credit union and that took forever there because the lady said the price was too high. Luckily, she offered to talk to him on the phone, and I didn't have to talk him down. She did. My loan was lowered, my monthly payments were lowered, but the APR wasn't because it wasn't newer than a 98. BLAH! I'll be paying 5.19% APR. Then, she said that my Dad had to come sign it, so we waited an hour for him to come. Then we went back to the dealer and he had to go pick up the emissions and inspections, so we dropped in at Wendy's. MMMM. Finally, I got everything figured out and now I have a car. Matt was sad because now he won't get to give me rides and he won't see me as much. I'm sad because now I have to grow up and pay bills - insurance, gas, and auto loan. I also have to have full coverage for the loan! Yikes. Anyway, it looks good and I hope I can support it without too much chaos!
